Hello and welcome to Balanced Elements Acupuncture! My name is Dionea Nadir and I am a licensed and Nationally Board Certified acupuncturist with a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. I have lived in Seattle for most of my life and love the forests and beaches in the surrounding areas. I like to go hiking, I stay active with yoga, and have a regular qigong practice that helps me remain grounded and present.
I initially became interested in studying acupuncture through my own experiences with relief of chronic pain through acupuncture treatments and herbal medicine. Chinese medicine has given me the tools to really get to know my patients and help guide them towards lasting health in an individualized fashion. I feel very fortunate as an acupuncturist to help patients transform their health by initiating the healing process and restoring balance to the body.
I treat a variety of health conditions and specialize in chronic pain management, neurological diseases, digestive conditions, dermatology, women’s reproductive health, as well as mood and sleep disorders. Many of the physical, mental, and emotional discomforts that we live with on a daily basis can be treated through acupuncture, and seemingly unrelated symptoms may improve simultaneously. Chinese medicine is preventative, and correcting imbalance before disease develops supports the best quality of life for each patient.
Chinese medicine takes a holistic approach with each patient that views a person and their environment as interconnected. Treating the whole person, physically, mentally, and emotionally seeks to restore and maintain lasting balance in the body. My goal is to help each of my patients optimize their health, resulting in decreased pain, increased energy, well-being, and longevity.
